For example there are people how get depressed and then have low episodes of mania, that means that their episodes of mania are not severe and its called hypomania.

Although there is no cure to this, there are some treatments for bipolar disorder that can help control the problem, some medications can help you prevent depression or reduce mania. Other kind of treatments involve learning to recognize the sings of an episode to reduce its effects or avoid problems.
